Olimpia Wong received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
in graphic design from the California College of Arts & Crafts
(now known as California College of the Arts).

After ten years working as a full-time graphic designer
at PPA Design in Hong Kong, gaining valuable
experience in corporate identity and packaging design,
she moved to Toronto in 1990, where she began
freelancing and discovered drawing and painting
was what she meant to do all along.

In 1995, Olimpia relocated back to Hong Kong and
she has been enjoying her time as an illustrator, designer,
& calligrapher, providing services to design firms,
publishers, signage consultants, as well as PR and
marketing agencies.

Through the years that Olimpia was a full-time designer,
being able to draw and illustrate was an asset to her
career. As an illustrator in Hong Kong, very often
she has to be “versatile” in order to fulfill clients’ needs,
which allow her to have the opportunities to explore with
various media...color pencils, pen & ink, Chinese brush,
acrylic, poster color, digital rendering, and never-the-less,
watercolor.

Olimpia loves cats and flowers. Watercolor is her favorite
media to paint with. In the recent years, she is devoting
more time to learn and to explore in wonderful adventures
of watercolor.
